Voice Artist

I love the weaving of story-world with voice – mine is a resonant, deep baritone with the range you’d expect from a trained singer. And harmony is my strategy. Through my Performing Arts/Theatre degree from Dartington College I discovered ‘Bajanje’ – a Serbian term meaning ‘to weave magical charms with the voice’, which I bring to all my work.

I am a specialist in Scots and Northern English accents (embodied from growing up in those areas); also received pronunciation, with a good feel for Irish and American. For more spicy audiobooks you’ll find me as Frank Ryan… with some talented female narrators!

I have a passion for bringing science fiction, romance and fantasy to life and have a range of experience narrating audiobooks, video games, and making community radio (Soundart FM).

My connection to the voice has been instrumental in my recovery from a brain tumour (aged 23) and I draw upon the therapeutic benefits of voice in all of my work.

I am:

a voice training coach,
and offer trauma release through rescripting belief systems using the voice.
